Your first is mother and your last is the pyre. To define a teacher merely within the confines of a living being is a fallacy. To accept the presence of a teacher or a lesson in every breath and walk of life, is the most beautiful part of living. It opens your mind up to the virtues of humility and a desire for constant learning and evolution. The person you look up to as your model, might not have had one for herself or himself. They imbued life in a way that every fallen leaf or every purr of a cat taught them something invaluable. So on this occasion of Teacher’s Day, let’s look at our  superheroes and learn of the powers that made them so.

To be abundantly clear, it’s not hardships alone that shape us into better beings, even though it’s presence is indispensable. Every loss, every gain, every moment spent idle is a lesson in disguise begging to be unveiled. Let us all for a moment, step outside the pages of our books and the doors of our schools to fully appreciate the real definition of a teacher.

Happy learning!

P.S: And a very very happy teacher’s day to our very own north stars.

About The Author

Project FUEL, founded in 2009 by Deepak Ramola, collects life lessons from people all over the world and turns them into interactive and performance activities, to pass on the learnings. The passing on happens by way of workshops, seminars, and sometimes even over coffee. Every life is important and so is what each person's life teaches them. At FUEL, life lessons are continuously collected, documented, thought about deeply and then turned into performance activities. This ensures that you don't just hear someone's lesson in words but experience it tangibly, and apply it practically in your own life. The organization seeks to build a community of young adults who live, learn and share in order to make meaningful psycho-social and emotional contribution to their lives, and the society at large. A life lesson that comes to us from another human being can shine light on the understanding of our own life. Hence the name FUEL, which stands for Forward the Understanding of Every Life Lesson.
