THE THING ABOUT SERENDIPITY
They say that if you truly want something, the entire universe conspires to help you achieve it. But here’s the catch. Perhaps the universe doesn’t work like a clairvoyant. Perhaps it cannot read minds. Perhaps it only catches signals. Signals of honest attempts and relentless efforts. Perhaps it sees us trying and failing, picking ourselves up over again, dusting away disappointments and starting afresh. It witnesses such umpteen acts of bravery and faith and feels a strange kind of heavy in the heart that it perhaps cannot bear anymore, and comes to aid of the ones in need i.e. the chasers, the dreamers, the seekers and the doers. And then, once in a while, people call it serendipity, magic, destiny and ‘all sorta luck’ when all they should be preaching time and again is ‘where there is a will, there is a way out’.
